Health Days

“Our days will be happier when we’ll give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of mind.”
The human heart beats 72 times a minute, i.e. almost 35 million times a year, non-stop. Even when we are resting, our heart muscles work twice as hard as the leg muscles of a person running.
A broken heart can actually be lethal. A break-up or news of a loved one’s death, starts the release of stress hormones into the blood stream that briefly ‘shock’ the heart.

The heart begins beating at four weeks after conception and does not stop until death!
However, as per the proofs the heart has the biggest strength to drive a truck 32 km every day. That is equivalent to driving to the moon and back in one lifetime!
Heart health has turn out to be a major subject matter as statistics reveal that 17.3 million lives die worldwide each year due to heart attacks and cardiovascular diseases (CVD). It’s estimated that by 2030, this figure will go up to 23 million people, according to Geneva-based NGO World Heart Federation (WHF).
The occasion of World Heart Day therefore comes to the eminence, with the purpose to spread alertness about heart disorders.
Since its beginning in September 2000, the World Heart Day has been celebrated each year with a theme which is closely related to heart health. The theme for World Heart Day this year is “creating heart healthy environments.”
WHF members have come together to inform that around 80 per cent of premature deaths caused by CVD could be prevented by four main risk triggering factors which include tobacco consumption, binge drinking, unhealthy diet and physical inactivity.
The day’s festivities are believed to be successful if organizations all around the world proactively contribute and help in spreading the word that CVD is one of the major causes of deaths around the world.

What really matters today is to be happy!!
